4th year after debut. Soon to be 25 year old Mark is really quite. In the middle of preparations for his next stage. You can definitely look forward to it.
During the resting time I still attended lessons. Acting and Chinese ones.
Q: Are you resting well?
MK: Yes, but for now our rest is almost finished. We are going into preparation stage soon. During the resting time I still attended lessons. Acting and Chinese ones. I did it, but I also had an opportunity just to chill.
Q: Besides lessons what else did you do? No matter what, you must have had some resting time for your heart's content, right?
MK: I played games, haha. Computer games.
Q: Must be Overwatch?
MK: Oh, right. I usually like playing FPS (First-person shooters), but this one is different but interesting. I have been into the game for a long time.

Members used to say I'm silent but in fact I voice out all my thoughts. I voice out all necessary things. Everything I want to.
- Q: Before coming to Korea, you lived in LA. As I know, you always were on the beach during the summer.
MK: We swam in the sea with friends, threw the ball and just played around. I also did skateboarding. When I was in the USA I liked summer a lot. After school, I called friends to our house, we swam here, then since I drive, I brought my friends to steak house where we ate to our heart's content...That's how we spent time.

Q: What kind of person was young Mark?
MK: I used to be called a kid who couldn't sit still. Always was busy with something. I was lively, liked going out and playing around. I also played basketball and rode the bicycle.
Q: Mark today looks really different. Jackson once said that you are like "the object in your room".
MK: At home I sit in one place, quietly. I like moving not talking. I actually don't like loudness. Members used to say I'm silent but in fact I voice out all my thoughts. I voice out all necessary things. Everything I want to.

- Q: So you are not forcing talking out of you.
MK: Seems like that. If I want people to know about something I will say it. But if I have nothing worthy to say I won't talk. When we are eating with members there is also times when I don't say a word. I'm done with just "Let's go eat together" and "Ok".
Q: I heard fans made a nickname for you "Mak-stery". So they call you mysterious Mark.
MK: Me? Am I mysterious?
Q: You are indeed quite, so isn't this nickname quite suitable?
MK: Maybe it is. Am I mysterious? I am not.

Q: Recently you mastered you Korean, so you are showing even more affection to your members. Looks like you put a lot of effort in making your Korean better.
MK: Somehow? Comparing to the past I voice out more of my thoughts. Usually even if I had my opinion, I didn't say it. I also didn't say when there was something I didn't like. So recently I am talking a lot.
Q: Like you don't want to say unpleasant things, is it your natural personality?
MK: Yes. Sincerely, if I have a bad mood it's the best for me to be alone. Cause as I spend some time like that, I'm feeling better.

Q: Seems like more than talking you enjoy observing.
MK: That's right. When kids are playing I like watching them from a far. More than interfering I like (sitting) near them and watching. Same with games. I like more watching (how other plays).
Q: While continuosly observing you discover members' interesting sides, so it must be quite enjoyable time, too?
MK: There is time like that. It really depends on the situation. The recent thing I found out is that I thought Jaebeom is like me - prefers observing, but it's not like that. Whenever kids do something he pretends that he doesn't pay attention and just watching but suddenly he will say "I will try it once, too". At some point, Jaebeom is the most excited. It's funny.

Q: Since the debut your position in GOT7 was rapper. But recently you also showed the desire to sing, what kind of song you want to try singing?
MK: Hm. The songs, that have feelings. Not the songs you need to sing in high notes. I also like sad songs. I think I like sad songs more that the exciting ones. Since I like ballads I listen to it from time to time but rather than singing along to them I'm just playing it.
Q: Not long ago you said you found yourself listening to NSync and Backstreet boys' music. Aren't those the songs that were released when you were really young?
MK: Suddenly I wondered what music famous boys group, that were loved by woman, had. I wanted to listen to some old songs, but I only knew the most famous songs of NSync and Backstreet boys. After I tried to listen to it again, I found a lot of good ones, so I continued listening to it. Their songs are still good and held as much power as it did once.
Q: Jinyoung and Jaebeom promoted as JJ Project unit. You were sure they would do great and support them. Then didn't you think about something concrete you personally want to do?
MK: Thing I want to do...There a lot. I also want to try to make a unit with the member who can sing. I would like it with any member.
Q: Then isn't there a voice that suits Mark's the most?
MK: Hm. For me...Jinyoung? Seems like Jinyoung's voice complements mine a lot. And our music styles also matches the most.
Q: Other members said that Mark is the most grasping member.

When I first went to jungle, I decided I must be very helpful. Since it was hard for Byungmanie hyung I must have helped a lot. Not long ago Byungmanie hyung reached me and suggested to go to the warm country next time and swim there. He said he would teach me scuba diving. If I go again next time, I should talk a little bit more. Seems like I only tried my best in doing the work.

MK: When we are on stage. I hope other people wouldn't think that GOT7 can't do something. I hope that they wouldn't see us like that. I would like if they think of GOT7 as of a hardworking group who does well. Then...I am not that kind of person who is able to reach people I don't know first. Even though I go out a lot I don't think people know who I am, so when they recognize me and come to greet me, I'm embarrassed. When people see this side of me they can think "Does he think he is doing well? Seems like he caught the celebrity syndrome". But I'm like that because I don't know what to say or how I should react. That's why I hope people wouldn't misunderstand.

MK: Since we are preparing for promotions I will for sure have schedule. But even without it I always have work on my birthday.

MK: Ah, cause it's PM (2PM) hyungs' debut day. 4th of September. Debut anniversary. I must attend it. I have things to do. So I'm not going to rest.
